Ateak Ireki is an exchange program that provides youth (age 16-25) from the Basque diaspora in the US the opportunity to live, learn and experience real life in the Basque Country today. The first exchange was planned for June 2020, but the pandemic caused the organizers to postpone. Unfortunately, given the continued impact of COVID-19, organizers are unable to host the program in 2021. They now plan to hold the 3-week immersion program in June/July 2022. Those who registered or were waitlisted for the program in 2020 will be given the first slots available to participate in 2022. Stay tuned for more information.
