Boise Fronton: A Remodel Success
The Boise Fronton in the Anduiza Building recently received a major facelift. Through the generous donations of local businesses and individuals, the Boise Fronton remodel has been realized. Eusko Kirolak, in conjunction with the Boise Fronton Association, spearheaded this successful project. A special eskerrik asko to Edu Sarria, Jeremy Malone, Jerry Aldape, and Steve Achabal who identified the need to renovate the fronton, raised the funds necessary for this project, and supervised the renovation from start to finish. The restoration and improvements that have taken place include: replacing the old stairs by the alley entrance with a new wider and safer staircase, updating the bathroom, putting in a new locker room and a new shower facility, taking down much of the old chicken wire and replacing it with wall paneling, a new txapa line, updating the electrical connections, painting the ceiling and walls with a different color scheme, and resurfacing the floor. Resurfacing the floor was a major undertaking where parts of the floor were ground down. Cracks were filled and the whole floor screened and buffed to give it a more even and harder playing surface. Thanks to the following donors, for without their financial assistance, this renovation could not have taken place.
